Then And Now Project

I have decided to create a Project based on some old Postcards that my Grandad had collected.

They are mainly from our local area. I am going to recreate the postcard with a modern photograph to record how much things have changed in the years that have passed.

I hope that you like these images and can leave some comments about them.

The first then and now I am posting is of a place known locally as Denham Bridge, it sits between the villages of Buckland Monachorum and Bere Alston.

Taken July 2010. The house can just be seen through the trees. The bridge has had a number of repairs to on closer inspection.

I have been taking snaps with my compact camera for over a year now, and have really enjoyed doing this as a hobby. It is always hard to achieve what you want with a compact but have managed some good results. Now i own a Nikon D50 and hope to improve greatly. I am taking media studies as a course and will use this hobby in the course.
